Another young man of color was murdered last week by the criminal justice system, kind of a not so funny joke, right (sic) in New York. His death has not drawn a lot of national media attention, in fact very little at all. To add to my confusion I don't recall if individuals like the Rev Sharpton or even President Obama have taken a moment to acknowledge and express their condolences to the family about the death of yet another young man of color, Kaleif Browder. As surely as my heart aches for Kalief and his parents, he surely died a thousand deaths while incarcerated at Rikers Island as a sixteen year old for three years.
